Mission Statement

The Dicken Elementary PTO is a volunteer organization made up of families, teachers, and administration of Dicken School that seeks to strengthen the educational and social environment of Dicken Elementary. The PTO works to provide a cooperative and enriching educational experience for Dicken students through the contributions of its family-based volunteer committees. The activities the PTO and its committees support seek to complement the AAPS curriculum with multiple opportunities for families, teachers, and students to learn, connect, and grow. The PTO hopes to create a cooperative environment in which families, staff, the larger community, and students themselves work together cooperatively with care and concern to create a school community in which fun, creativity, and new experiences enrich academic, social, civic, and personal growth.
